Tallying Of VVPAT Slips May Delay The Results Of Lok Sabha Polls 2019

Polling for the Lok Sabha Polls 2019 is over in all the 7 phases, now its time for the results. The wait will end on 23rd May and we will finally be able to know, who will take the throne this time.

But there may be some delay in declaring the results and extend your wait to know the winner, as the VVPAT (voter-verified paper audit trail) slips will also be tallied this time.

While addressing a press meet, Biswajit Pegu, DC, Kamrup Metro said, “this time the counting of votes may take some time, as along with the counting of votes, the VVPAT slips will also be tallied this time.”

Pegu further said that, “To provide enough space to the counting agents and fir giving ease in the counting, the counting process will take place in Maniram Dewan Trade Center, Guwahati.”

He also added that, “There are 17 candidates in total and against each candidate, their will be on counting agent.”

Now, the wait is till 23rd May and we will come to know who will rule the nation for the next 5 years.
