Today is the fourth day since 13 people got trapped into an illegal rat hole coal mine in East Jaintia hills of Meghalaya. The NDRF and SDRF teams are still clueless about rescuing the trapped people. Even sonar system and underwater cameras have failed and the teams are unable to dive into the water because the coal dust inside the mine has decreased the visibility inside the trench and they are unable to decrease the water level which 70 feet deep.
Assistant Commandant of NDRF , 1st Battalion while speaking to a local newspaper said that , they are still hopeful abut the survival of the miners. if there is air-pocket inside they might survive.
The main accused, the owner of the coal mine was arrested yesterday.
