The Chemistry Department of Kohima Science College at Jotsoma, Nagaland has developed Hand Sanitizers to be used as a hygiene solution to fight against the COVID-19.
With increasing numbers of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in India, the demands of hand wash and hand sanitizers have increased drastically. Recently, the Government of India has also announced these items along with masks as ‘essential commodities’.
With shop keepers charging huge amounts from the customers taking advantage of the critical situation, the citizens are left with no choice but to buy the ‘essential commodity’ paying the high price.
By bringing a ray of hope, the Kohima Science College has come up with an initiative where they have successfully developed Hand Sanitizers in their Chemistry Laboratory.
The RCEMPA, Music Task Force has been provided with the first bottle for immediate use.
