Paragliding Accuracy Championship, the three-day International tournament successfully ended in Serchhip, Mizoram on Saturday.
The chief minister of the State, Zoramthanga attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. The minister thanked everyone for the successful completion of the ‘first of its kind’ sporting event in Mizoram.
He also expressed his willingness to conduct more such events and expected greater participation from the youth of the state.
Robert Romawia Royte, the tourism minister of the state, also graced the closing ceremony as the guest of honour. He too stated that he is hopeful of witnessing such events of great scale and grandeur at Serchhip in the coming future.
The event was conducted for three days with 23 participants including counties like Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, South Korea etc. Reportedly, South Korea won the first prize in both men and women categories as well as stood first in the team competition.
