A five-judge Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi heard the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit for 40 days and had earlier set the deadline to finish arguments on October 18. But was ended by today itself on immediate notice of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
The verdict is expected to be announced before 17th of the November as Justice Gogoi has his retirement date approaching and the case needs to be settled before that. Failing which, if the case remains unsolved even after the retirement of Justice Gogoi , the case shall be reopened since the beginning , as per as the mandate of the Supreme Court is concerned.
