Assam Village Mourns death of Martyr Maneshwar Basumatary

The martyrdom of head-constable of the CRPF-98 Battalion Maneshwar Basumatary has sent his village into mourning. Basumatary, who was a native of Kolbari village of Tamulpur in Baksa district of Assam. He attained martyrdom when terrorist attacked a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14th, 2019.

Just 10 days before the terror attack on 4th of February, Basumatary returned from his home after spending his leave and joined his duty in Kashmir.

As soon as the news of his death was received, his relatives, neighbors and well wishers visited his home to console the family members.

Basumatary’s daughter also demanded for befitting action against the terror attack

A pall of gloom has descended in the entire region. Basumatary is survived by his wife and two children.
