One year ago, on this very day at nearly 3:15 pm, a convoy of CRPF jawans got hit by a SUV carrying explosives on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. This unfortunate attack caused death of 40 CRPF personal while many were severely injured. This horrific incident shook the entire nation raising some vital questions regarding the loop holes of the security system of India, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Pakistan based Islamist militant group ”Jaish-e-Mohammed” later claimed the attack. Unfortunately a local from Pulwama district, Adil Ahmad Dar was identified as the sole attacker.
As the aftermath of the attack, the entire nation stood in solidarity with the soldiers martyred in the terror attack. Bandhs, candle protests were organized to pay tribute to the soldiers. It is after the attack that the All Indian Cine Workers Association completely banned Pakistani artists as well as actors from the Indian Film Industry.
Today the nation mourns once again remembering the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. We, here at Khobor Northeast, pay our tribute to the martyrs and wish for well being of the families.
