The Guwahati city administration and masses are ready to set the stage on fire in the 65th Filmfare Awards in Guwahati tomorrow. It is the first time in the history of the Filmfare awards that it is being organised outside the premises of Mumbai. The movie lovers of the entire state are setting their eyes on the esteemed event and waiting eagerly to see their favourite stars on performing in their homeland!
As per reports, the award show is going to be held on Saturday at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati and will be hosted by none other than reputed Director and Producer Karan Johar along with famous actor Vicky Kaushal. The ceremony will start at 6 pm sharp and the venue is prepared to host about 7,000 guests.
Prominent names of Bollywood such as Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Disha Patani and Radhika Apte are going to grace the event with their presence. As per reports, few of them including Madhuri Dixit, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aryan, Varun Dhawan and Vicky Kaushal have already checked into the luxury hotel of Guwahati, Vivanta By Taj.
The organizers informed a leading daily that Rajkummar Rao, Ali Faizal, Manish Paul, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sooraj Pancholi, Parineeti Chopra, Bhumi Pednekar & Pooja Hedgre are also confirmed to reach Guwahati to attend the event. On the other hand, approximately 150 Assamese performers, including Aimee Baruah, Gayatri Mahanta, Sita Moni Lakhar etc. will perform in the event.
The Guwahati police seemed to be taking all precautionary and regulatory measures to confirm smooth conduction of the event. As per reports, vehicles having valid car passes will only be allowed to enter into the stadium and will be allowed to park on the 27 parking places specially designated for the same outside the stadium. Gate 1A, 1B and 1C are entrusted for the entry of the spectators.
