Perfectionist Mr. Aamir Khan has contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief fund of Assam government for its flood relief operations which has rendered many people homeless and lead to the death of more than 80 people, not to forget the huge loss of property of the flood survivors, from their home to their paddy fields.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal twitted to thank Aamir Khan through twitter for his contribution to Assam flood.
Noteworthy that, Amir Khan had recently posted a video in Twitter asking people to come out in support of flood victims of Assam and Gujarat. This kind act of Mr. Perfectionist has been applauded and appreciated by the people of the state and the country.
To be mentioned that Telegu Star Ram Charan Teja and his wife Upasana has also donated Rs. 2.36 crores for Assam floods.
However, the Centre has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of people killed and Rs 50,000 to seriously injured persons in the recent flood in Assam.
This year, two waves of floods in the state have affected around 25 lakh people from 29 districts stimulating the administration to set up 1,098 distribution centres and relief camps, where about 1.32 lakh people took shelter.
