Four Assamese Films To be Screened At 19th New York Indian Film Festival

Its time for the people of Assam to rejoice once again as four Assamese Films made its way to the New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) which will be held at New York from May 7th to 12th, 2019.

The Films that will be screened at the festival  are: Bulbul Can Sing by the National Award winning director, Rima Das, Bhoga Khirkee (Broken Window) by Jahnu Barua, Aamis by Bahskarn Hazarika and a documentary by Roopa Barua, daughter of The Polo God.

The Film Festival will be held at the Village East Cinemas in Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The NYIFF celebrates independent, art house, alternate and dispora films from India. It gives an opportunity to  watch those South Asian diaspora films that have not yet been screened in New York.
